Aerial view of Central to Causeway Bay from the Peak around 1890. At the bottom left was the Cricket Club (now Chater Garden) which at the time was still the harbour-front. Military facilities occupied the middle of the picture. For a long period, developments in Wanchai and Causeway Bay were hampered by these facilities.
