The densely built coastal area of Tsuen Wan in 1978 can be seen in the photo. There are still a few pieces of land along the coast and towards the inland area, which have yet been developed.
Both Kwun Tong Resettlement Estate and Wo Lok Estate can be seen near the centre of the photo, while Sau Mau Ping Resettlement Estate (right) is under construction. On the upper left hand side is Shell Oil Depot, where the present Laguna City stands.
This is an aerial view of Kwun Tong Satellite Town during early stage of development. The industrial and residential areas are separated by a nullah. Fuk Loi Estate is under construction.
The Ngau Tau Kok Village is situated in front of some newly-constructed industrial blocks. The Village is separated from the industrial blocks by a main street. It is a Hakka stonecutters’ settlement which has later been demolished in 1966.
