Lower Compound

Entrance to the workshop at the Lower Compound with grille gate. E Hall and the Lower Compound are connected. Stairs to the Lower Compound workshop. The multi-purpose area of the Lower Compound was also used as a Day Room for Prisoners. The Correctional Services Department provides both meaningful work and vocational training to adult persons in custody. 

Prisoners receive earnings for the work done and may use their earnings to buy approved personal items. The female prisoners were having a break in the Lower Compound According to the law, all adult prisoners, unless certified physically unfit by a medical officer, are required to work six days a week.  E Hall is above the Lower Compound. Coming and going between E Hall and the Lower Compound is very convenient. Part of the Lower Compound is the basement of E Hall.
