Dr Sun Yat-sen set up branches of the Tongmenghui in Singapore, Penang and Kuala Lumpur to raise funds for the revolutionaries in China. Significant funds came from the Chinese in Southeast Asia. Wilson Shieh's team members, Jess Leung and Flying Pig, present the cultural dynamics of Southeast Asia by incorporating Chinese images and symbols with bright colours of the tropics.
