Manuscripts of the New Edition of The Giant Eagle and Its Companion (partial) (1)

When Jin Yong revised the segment where Prince Huodu and Zhu Ziliu are contesting at the tournament for top martial artists, he added a dialogue between Yang Guo and Xiaolongnu, the long-lost lovers who meet again on this occasion. Exhibit on the left marked with the letter “P” on the manuscript copy is part of the newly added dialogue. The author then put a corresponding “P” on the printed page of The Jin Yong Novel Collection (exhibit on the right) to indicate where he wanted the new text to be inserted.
