This Chinese parasol top board was formed with hexagonal units glued together by lacquer, each hexagon is made from two identical trapezoid units of parasol.

Maker's Note This qin has a plantain leaf style, with the bottom of the head simulating a plantain stalk. The entire qin top was made of small pieces of parasol wood that have been glued together with raw lacquer. It has a heavy, powerful, celestial timbre that is antique, clear, and smooth.
