Champion Award of Japan for Singers (1975) It was a singing contest held by Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation in Japan, where was shown every week on television in Japan. There were five professional singers participating in the contest each time. Any singer who won the first in the contest for ten times would receive the Champion Award. Roman Tam was the first non-Japanese singer who won the Champion Award in this contest.
Roman Tam, Liza Wang and Michelle Yim performed in Legend Of The White Snake in 1982. Roman Tam financed and produced the Legend Of The White Snake which was a pioneer for Cantonese musicals in Hong Kong.
Roman Tam sang in the concert which was held at Dr. Sun Yat-sen’s Memorial Hall in Guangzhou in 1985. His famous songs The Romantic Swordsman and A House Is Not A Home were very popular in Guangzhou.
