  • The 16th inauguration of Hong Kong-Kowloon & New Territories Theatre Association Limited
    Since the early 1950s, cinema operators often met up to share business knowledge. In 1956, the Hong Kong-Kowloon & New Territories Theatre Association Limited was established, which not only enabled members to mingle, but also facilitated communication within the industry. As the Association grew, it laid down industry regulations and also discussed matters such as copyright, licensing and censorship with the government. In 1988, its name was changed to Hong Kong Theatres Association Limited. The photo was taken at the 16th inauguration in 1970.
