Wave on the Road

Car driving on flooded street. In Shum Shui Po in the early 1960s, at the corner of Lai Chi Kok Road and Boundary Street, the floods during downpours could reach as deep as covering half a wheel. The frame of the windshield became a dark shadow in the oncoming lights, and though blocking some of the view, serves as the foreground helping the viewer focus on the subject. In terms of photographic art, when dealing with breathtaking scenery one might consider adopting a wider angle, though doing so excessively might divert the interest.
