Here readers will find over 70 pictures of production processes, plants, machinery and textile industry products which have been collected from diverse sources. Some materials come from publications such as the Hong Kong Trade Bulletin, Hong Kong Factory Survey and the Exhibition of Chinese Products Supplement. Others come from the undergraduate thesis Cotton Textile Industry of Hong Kong. There are also photos from the collection of the Hong Kong Museum of History. Such pictures are evocative of the prime years of Hong Kong’s spinning, weaving and knitting mills.
