Victoria Prison's close relationship with the neighbourhood

Pang Sung Yuen thinks that the relationship between Victoria Prison and the neighbourhood before it de-commission was good. The prison officials would attend district council meetings by request to explain prison policy and operation to the council members.
Pang Sung Yuen agrees that it is curial to build up strong relationship with the community. The prison would deal with the complains seriously such as complains about the noise from the cells during the night. Pang was pleased that there were just a few similar complains about noise. Nevertheless, Victoria Prison still causes some inconvenience to the community since it is in the middle of the city such as the frequent entry and exit of prison vehicles and visitors. The de-commission of Victoria Prison is good for both the community and the department.
